Sunsets.
We all love them – right? If you don’t love a good sunset, then this photo probably isn’t for you. And, well… you might be a little weird.
Anyway – sunsets!
This particular one captures the sleek skyline around Piazza Gae Aulenti and Porta Garibaldi in Milan, Italy. I shot it from exactly 6.44 km away, using a long lens, just after the sun had dipped below the horizon.

What I love most is the contrast: that cool, hazy darkness cloaking the city, set against the majestic, warm, almost glowing hues above. It’s a moody, slightly unusual take on Milan’s skyline – and one I’m pretty proud of.
You can grab a print of this photo over at my Pixels.com shop, if you’re into that sort of thing.
